Child safety standards
QUEST's zero-tolerance policy on child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE/CSAM) in One Quest and QUEST Club, and how to report it.
DetectMax operates the QUEST website and the One Quest app, including QUEST Club, a community where users can post finds, photos and comments. This page explains our standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and how to report concerns.
Zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. The following is prohibited everywhere on One Quest, QUEST Club and the QUEST website:
- Any content that depicts, promotes or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation, including CSAM.
- Grooming or enticing a minor, or any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sexualizing minors in any form, including images, text, usernames or comments.
- Sharing, requesting, trading or linking to any of the above.
Who can use QUEST Club
QUEST Club is intended for users aged 18 and over. Accounts that we learn belong to minors may be restricted or removed.
Reporting inside the app
- Use the Report option on any Club post or comment to flag it for review.
- Use Block to stop seeing content from a specific user.
- Reported content is hidden from other members while it is reviewed.
Our moderators review reports as quickly as possible, and we aim to review them within 24 hours in most cases. Reports involving child safety or legal risk are reviewed first.
What we do when we find CSAM
If we identify or are notified of CSAM or other child sexual exploitation content, we will:
- Remove the content.
- Suspend or permanently ban the responsible account.
- Report it to the relevant authorities as required by applicable law, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and local law enforcement where appropriate.
We comply with applicable child safety laws and cooperate with legitimate requests from law enforcement.
Child safety contact
If you cannot use the in-app report option, or you want to raise a child safety concern directly, contact our child safety contact at DetectMax:
Please use the subject line Child safety report and include links or screenshots where possible. Do not forward illegal material; if you encounter it, report it to your local authorities or to NCMEC (CyberTipline) as well.
